“Trails to the Past: History along the Regional Trails” - Fireside Chat with Bill Walker

  • Hennepin History Museum 2303 3rd Avenue South Minneapolis, MN, 55404 United States (map)

Thursday May 26, 2016 6:30 PM / $5.00 at the door, free for HHM members.

Join Bill Walker, Cultural Resources Program Manager with Three Rivers Park District, for an armchair journey through history along our Regional Trails. Hear how the 1970s cycling boom helped spark construction of a regional trail system that has made Minneapolis the envy of bike enthusiasts across the country. Travel back in time to an age where bustling flour mills and lavish lakeshore hotels were once connected by a vast railroad empire, and learn how you can still “ride the rails” today.
